Exciting development of new homes that will give people with early onset dementia the opportunity to live independently will be available soon at our St Stephens new build site in Port Glasgow. 24 flats in total will be available.

Properties will benefit from a payable caretaking service, lifts to all floors, double glazing, gas central heating, modern open plan living room and kitchen with gas or electric cooking and mix of bathrooms with walk in shower cubicle and over bath shower.

In addition, the properties will have dementia friendly adaptations including:

  • Colour contrasting floors and walls on each landing

  • Individually coloured flat entrance doors.

  • Visually identifiable hot and cold taps.

  • Different coloured toilet seat from sanitary ware

  • Clear fronted kitchen base and wall units

  • Sensory garden adjacent to the block

Properties are open for bidding to two person households where one or both persons have had a diagnosis of early onset dementia.

Due to the new customer quota in place by RCH, priority will be given to non-RCH tenants.

One Weeks rent is due in advance by the successful applicant. A Debit or Credit Card can only be accepted. No cash payments.
