How to Search

We advertise all our available homes each week. New homes are added every Friday and you have a week from the Friday to Thursday midnight to place a bid.  Click here to search for a home.

If you log on to the site, the system will only list properties that match the size of the home you need but the search facility can also let you see all properties and to filter the search results in different ways.

When you find a property you like, you have to let us know you are interested. This is done by placing a bid against the house online or through our Customer Experience Team. Bidding closes every Thursday at midnight. Bids may be made on up to three properties each week.

When you place a bid the estimated bid position that is shown is subject to change and being 1st may not mean that you will be made an offer of the home that you have bid on.  This is because we must complete a series of checks against your housing application to ensure that you are entitled to an offer and we may have applied a quota or target to the allocation.  Our section on Quotas and Targets explains this in greater detail.

Offer of Housing

If you are successful and shortlisted for a property we will get in contact with you within a few days of bidding closing. If not, you can continue to bid on up to three properties each week. However, if you refuse two offers within 12 months, your application will be suspended for six months.

Accepting an Offer

We will always offer you the chance to view the property that is on offer to you to help you decide if it meets your needs.  There are currently restrictions in place on how many people can attend a viewing due to Covid restrictions.

If you accept the offer, we will arrange for you to sign the legal tenancy agreement and hand over the property's keys to you. All new tenants are required to pay rent in advance even if you are in receipt of benefits.  Our local Housing Officer shall explain the viewing process and rent payment to you.

Our homes are allocated on a priority needs group basis as agreed within our allocations policy. A home will only be let to applicants if it meets their housing needs; based on the information on their application and any supporting verification that we have received.
