Our letting performance

We are regulated by the Scottish Housing Regulator who has a set of performance outcomes for all social landlords outlined within its Social Housing Charter. You can see all of our performance results by visiting the Scottish Housing Regulators webpage here.

We let 500 homes between 1st April 2019 and 31 March 2020.  These lets were made to a range of different house size and house types within the letting areas throughout Inverclyde.

General highlights

  • We have 561 applicants who are waiting on a home in one of our sheltered housing complexes but only 36 vacant homes became available to let to this group.

  • Most of the homes we let had two bedrooms. The majority of our housing stock is two bedroomed tenement flats.

  • Only 5 of our four bedroomed homes were let. 3 of these homes were in the Highholm Street area of Port Glasgow.  We only have a total of 112 four bedroom homes within our stock and they rarely become empty and available to let.

  • Most lets were made to the general, unsatisfactory housing conditions housing need group. This is also our largest housing need category.

  • Least lets were made to the ‘A4 critical’ housing need group. This is a small group of applicants with a mobility medical need who typically need a specialist type of home.
